CHIO Aachen Kids Camp
Holidaycamp during the autumn holidays
A holiday camp at the famous CHIO Aachen showgrounds: Five days focusing on the theme horses – that is what the “CHIO Aachen Kids Camp” is offering during the autumn holidays. From Monday, October 19th to Friday, October 23rd, a diversified agenda awaits the children in and around the Deutsche Bank Stadium.
Learn a great deal about horses? How to groom a horse and also sit in the saddle? While at the same time getting to know the famous CHIO Aachen showgrounds in a playful manner? The organisers of the CHIO are offering sport and active games, crafting, cinema and of course an introduction to horses during the autumn vacation. The horses will be taken care of, groomed and fed, the children will be allowed to lead them around the grounds and also do a few rounds in the saddle themselves – on the lead rein – all of this is taking place at the CHIO Aachen grounds, predominantly in the Deutsche Bank Stadium, on the warm-up area in front of it, in the stables and in the Albert Vahle Arena.
A special highlight: A vaulting workshop with the former World Champion, Patric Looser. Even if a professional will be at the other end of the lunge rein, the emphasis during the autumn vacation is on fun: “It is definitely not going to be a training camp, it is more a leisure offer focusing on the horse,” explained Frank Kemperman, Chairman of the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein e.V. The camp is therefore also suitable for “newcomers to the horse scene”.
The holiday camp will be carried out in line with the hygiene regulations applicable at the time. Primary school children (aged 6 to 10) can register to participate. The participation fee is 250 Euros per child.
All further information as well as a download of the registration form is available online at chioaachen.de/en/chio-aachen-kids-camp.
