Free admission on Soers Sunday
Open day – diversified show programme – commences with a festive church service – CHIO Aachen Village opens for the first time. Every year the visitors file into the Soers on the first Sunday of the CHIO Aachen show week. It is no surprise since Soers Sunday attracts the crowds with an exciting show programme for the entire family. On top of that admission is free of charge.
The agenda kicks off at 11.30 a.m. with the traditional ecumenical service in the Deutsche Bank Stadium. Then, the show programme, which presents the five CHIO Aachen disciplines, starts at 13.30 Uhr on the jumping warm-up arena. This will be followed by the North Rhine-Westphalian state stud and their draught horse stallions and the Cappenberg Hunting Club will demonstrate the century-old tradition of hunting with a pack of hounds. In addition, various breeders will present the diversity of the horse breeds and the birds of prey from Hellenthal Wild Park will fly high in the skies over the Soers.
But plenty more than merely horses can be discovered on Soers Sunday. The CHIO Aachen Village will be opening for the first time this year, inviting the guests to set off on an extensive shopping tour. As usual, everything one’s heart desires can be purchased here: From fashion and lifestyle items, through to equipment for the horse.
